Eat these 12 foods to become a lean, mean, fighting machine

I want to suggest some categories of food that will help you stay healthy. Staying healthy is essential to the practice of meditation.

I've split these up into the following 12 categories:

1. Vegetables

Kale, spinach, chard, and other vibrant leafy green are a few of the best vegetables. Whenever possible, consume your vegetables raw, as that preserves all of their natural vitamins.

2. Fruits

Blueberries, raspberries, and other berries are a few of the best fruits. They have antioxidant qualities that fight free radicals that deteriorate our bodies.

3. Whole grains

Breads, pastas, and cereals that contain whole grains are far more nutritionally dense than those that contained enriched wheat four. Quinoa, while not technically a grain, is perhaps the most superior ingredient that can be found within these foods. "Ancient Harvest" and Ezekiel" are perhaps the two best brands for these foods.

4. Legumes

Beans and chickpeas contain lots of fiber, protein, B vitamins, iron, magnesium, potassium, copper, and zinc. Hummus is a great product that contains chickpeas.

5. Nuts

Almonds, walnuts, and brazil nuts are a few of the healthiest nuts. Nut butters, beyond just the classical peanut butter, are produced with these nut varieties.

6. Healthy fats

Olives, avocados, coconuts are fats that contain monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which are great for your health. Their corresponding oils — olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil — are great as well.

7. Lean meat

Turkey, chicken, and other lean meats are great sources of protein.

8. Fish

Salmon, rockfish, shrimp, and other fish are lean forms of protein, which you can eat even more often than turkey or chicken.

9. Soy

Tofu, tempeh, edamame, and other soy products are fine in moderation. They are descent sources of protein. Just make sure you only buy them organic.

10. Eggs

Eggs are another great source of protein. While relatively high in cholesterol, they are nevertheless fine in moderation. Buy cage free organic eggs.

11. Dairy

Milk and cheese are fine in moderation, but I recommend that find substitutes whenever possible. Alternative cheeses. Almond milk. Etc.

12. Protein powder

Protein powder is a great way to supplement your diet, especially before and after workouts. I recommend vegan protein powder.
