About the Founder

Journey Through Meditation was created by someone who never set out to be a “teacher.” It grew out of a long stretch of life that asked for resilience, openness, and a steadier way of meeting change.

My name is Henry Bond. Meditation first became a quiet anchor in the middle of a demanding career and a constantly shifting path. But everything changed after losing my home in a wildfire—a moment that pulled the ground out from under me and asked for a different kind of attention. Not escape. Not spiritual perfection. Just presence.

That experience eventually brought me to Topanga Canyon, where I now live and work. The canyon has become part of my practice—morning light through the trees, long walks after rain, the feeling of quiet that settles in before sunset. Those rhythms shaped the way I teach: slow, nature-rooted, and easy to return to.

I believe that wellbeing is an important aspect of ever person’s journey. I hold a M.S. degree in Health Promotion with a concentration in Workplace Wellness from Maryland University of Integrative Health.

Today, I run Journey Through Meditation from a retreat center in Topanga, offering:

  • guided meditations

  • an introductory ebook

  • monthly teachings

  • workplace sessions

  • and a growing tarot-style deck inspired by the landscape

Nothing here is about mastering the mind or chasing enlightenment. It’s about finding steadiness in everyday life—one breath, one small practice, one honest moment at a time.

If you’re looking for a meditation guide who speaks plainly, walks the same ups and downs you do, and believes in practical, grounded practices, you’re in the right place.

This is the work I care about. And I’m glad you’re here to be part of it.
