THE JOURNEY THROUGH MEDITATION TAROT
A symbolic deck for meditation, reflection, and the inner path.
A hand-drawn tarot deck rooted in the natural world, created as a companion for inquiry, awareness, and daily practice.
The Journey Through Meditation Tarot is a deck for anyone who wants to use symbolism as a doorway into presence.
Each card is designed not only to be read, but to be contemplated.
The deck brings together tarot archetypes, meditation practice, nature symbolism, and the wild landscape of Topanga Canyon. It is a tool for reflection, a mirror for the inner life, and a guide for returning to what is already here.
NOT JUST PREDICTION
Each card is a doorway into practice.
Tarot is often associated with prediction.
This deck begins somewhere slightly different.
The Journey Through Meditation Tarot is built around inquiry.
Each card asks you to pause, look inward, and notice what is already moving through your life.
A card may reveal a pattern. It may name an inner threshold. It may point toward a quality you are being asked to cultivate.
But the card does not do the work for you.
It invites you into relationship with your own awareness.
A mirror
Reflecting something you may not have fully seen.
A doorway
Opening into a deeper layer of the inner path.
A practice prompt
Giving you something simple to meditate with, journal on, or carry through the day.
The purpose of the deck is not to escape the present moment. It is to enter it more fully.
LAND AS TEACHER
A deck shaped by canyon, fire, ocean, and sky.
This deck was born from the landscape of Topanga.
The canyon has its own symbolic language.
The landscape becomes more than a background. It becomes part of the teaching.
The cards are drawn in an earthy, hand-textured style, inspired by colored pencil and wax pastel on lightly textured paper. The lines remain visible. The strokes are imperfect. The colors are warm, muted, and organic.
Nothing is too polished. The deck is meant to feel tactile, human, and alive.
The outer landscape becomes a map of the inner one.
THE GREAT THRESHOLDS
The Major Arcana follows the shape of the inner journey.
The Major Arcana represents the larger movements of the path: initiation, change, resistance, surrender, shadow, awakening, integration, and return.
These cards are not separate from meditation. They describe the terrain we meet when we practice.

BODY, HEART, BREATH, AWARENESS
The Minor Arcana brings the path into daily life.
The Minor Arcana explores the ordinary moments of practice: a conversation, a decision, a feeling, a breath, a workday, a walk, a moment of resistance, a moment of clarity.
Each suit is connected to an element of practice, a natural symbol, a color world, a time-of-day progression, and a recurring animal guide.
STONES
Body, grounding, stability, the material path
Stones are the suit of embodiment. They speak to the body, the earth, work, home, money, responsibility, patience, and the slow building of a life.
Animal guide: Coyote
SHELLS
Heart, emotion, receptivity, feeling
Shells are the suit of the emotional body. They speak to love, grief, intuition, tenderness, longing, memory, healing, and the movement of feeling.
Animal guide: Deer
FEATHERS
Breath, thought, perception, perspective
Feathers are the suit of the mind and the breath. They speak to thought, communication, clarity, conflict, perspective, imagination, and the stories we live inside.
Animal guide: Birds
STICKS
Energy, action, will, transformation
Sticks are the suit of fire and movement. They speak to energy, creativity, action, desire, courage, friction, vitality, and transformation.
Animal guides: Lizards and snakes
The Rhythm of Time
Across each suit, the numbered cards move through a full cycle of the day: dawn, morning, noon, afternoon, golden hour, twilight, stars, and midnight.
The court cards follow their own rhythm: Seeker as morning beginnings, Wanderer as active noon, Keeper as dusk integration, and Guide as midnight wisdom.
PRACTICE WITH THE CARDS
Let the card become a meditation.
You do not need to be an experienced tarot reader to use this deck. You only need a willingness to pause.
A Single-Card Pull Before Meditation
Draw one card before you sit. Look at the image slowly. Notice the colors, the figure, animal, object, or landscape. Then sit with the question: What is this card asking me to notice today?
A Three-Card Reflection
Pull three cards and place them in a row: What is present? What is asking for attention? What is the next honest step?
A Weekly Card for Journaling
At the beginning of the week, pull one card. Let it become a theme. Return to it over several days and notice how the card changes.
A Card Before a Wednesday Sit
Before joining the weekly guided meditation, draw a card. Let it set a quiet intention for the practice.
A Card After a Walk in Nature
Take a walk without trying to solve anything. When you return, pull a card. Let the world participate in the reading.
THE CARD LIBRARY
Every card is its own meditation.
Each card in the Journey Through Meditation Tarot has its own page, meaning, reflection, and practice. The full card library is currently being built.
COMING INTO FORM
From card library to physical deck.
The Journey Through Meditation Tarot is being developed as both a physical deck and a digital symbolic archive.
The first intention is simple: to create a beautiful, tactile deck that can be held, shuffled, studied, and used in meditation.
As the project develops, there may also be limited digital collector editions of selected cards.
These would not replace the physical deck. They would exist as a patron and collector layer for people who want to support the creation of the deck, collect official digital editions, and participate more closely in the unfolding of the project.
The heart of the deck remains practice.
